Simple thing, I don't comment all the bull that goes on , on the open forum, discussing Vonage to anything, who cares. Put up the opinions no problem. But there has to be a limit on how and what are you putting up.
Despite IV doing so much for the community, the post from gvenkat, jyoti and including yours and lot others (guys you know whom I am talking about) actually demotivate the group and this way you contribute to IV but all NEGATI VE When I see this type shit I just cannot stop myself and I think would be a shame on myself if I do so.
Also , one time donation are not helping. IV needs more donations, more volunteers. Come on join in, everything is flexible here for volunteers, so please contribute and donate.IV core has got it to this point with least support and proved that yes it can be done now what else do you what IV to prove. Sanhari. I can very well understand the problems that you and every1 else face in EB3 category. But the way you are trying to put your case forward is wrong. By comparing with EB1 and EB2 priority dates you are just trying to show your frustration and not making a case at all. There is a reason they have different categories and similarly have priority dates for those. If you are eligible then port to EB2 else join IV with immigration reform or the latest fight to "Recieve EAD even if dates are not current". Please do not confuse teh congressmen or the senators who are already confused. Be proactive not jealous :cool:

Call USCIS and enquire about your card and also verify if your address in their system is correct. Also, get an appt with local USCIS office. All the best!!!Did any body received the card or case status changed to Card production ordered apart from GCEB2?
It seems there is progress only for GCEB2 for the gys who got the approval notice in August.

I mailed mine on May 25 and up to now I haven't gotten anything yet. My lawyer mailed it to NSC and since my I-140 is pending with the TSC, my lawyer said they will just forward it there. It's taking too long. Anybody in the same boat as I am?

If the CIR seems likely to pass, I believe Sen. Cornyn will push for this bill to be added to the CIR as an amendment, much similar to what Sen. Durbin did with the DREAM bill. Amongst the bills I have seen, this bill is the best one so far. Agreed it does not address all that we want....but compared to where we are, this bill will achieve a lot for us. Especially, if the AOS clause passes, it pretty much means that you can file I-485 i.e. it means that you and your dependents become eligible for EAD and all the benefits associated with it. :)

You are in the EB3 category, do you ever wonder why somebody who is more educated than you or me, makes more money? Can we say, hey you I was born in 1890 I should make more money, it does not fly, EB3 is not a reflection on your skills but more the job you hold.

Why do you not include the family based categories, isn't family first, why not the EB spill over to to FB first then whatever trickles down comes to EB, is not this fair? Been in the US since 1998, have an EB-2 PD of 2001, have played by the rules all along. Still no GC... And, the dates are going back to 2000 from the new year.. I've lost hopes...
I'm pretty close to getting clinical depression because of this game played by USCIS, Labor Dept, FBI and my own bad luck.
SKILL bill, OMNIBUS, etc. comes and goes. IV does seem to be doing things to lobby for the community, but let's face one reality. Like a news article said, no one in congress or senate wants to touch immigration even with a long pole until 2009.
The US has been very good to me (other than the GC part), more than my home country (India) which is why I'm still here.

When I was in DC sometime last year saw a group of people standing in front of the capitol building holding signs that circumcision is cruel!!....
I am proposing that we atleast 50-100 members who can go to DC on a weekday morning, preferably Monday, should stand in that area, with signs highligting our problems, so all senators/congresspersons can see us, I guess that place is specifically for demonstrators, .....we can start from DC on Monday afternoon to our place.
But we need help from DC locals to get permissions...and send a copy of the permissions to all those who plan to attend....
Any date before August 15 will be too early I think, we shoud have enough time to plan to organize this....even 50-100 people would be good....we can take the entire family with kids and stand there for 2-4 hrs.....

I had one more idea....how about we put all the material , not only issues related to Jul 2, but all our issues, create an excellent coloured PDF version, write to CD, label it and send the CD too all senators/congress persons/Governors/lt.governers/President/etc etc...we should send this CD to atleast 1000 people and atleast 500 media contacts....
CDs being cheap, it should not cost much except for mailing it and we have some great talent in IV in writing the material.....
Nowadays CEOs/Politicians are so used to presentations etc...so CDs might help

Set up a LLC company or sole proprietorship and work with an attorney. Keep the paperwork tight and upto date. If permanent offer is hard to come by , you got to do what you got to do in a legal way :) All the best!

I had taken an infopass appointment after filing an SR. All the IO said was I should call NSC. I don't think the IO's at the local USCIS office can issue FP notices.
Shall try again sometime this week or next and update the same here. I am a NSC->CSC->NSC transferee.

You got it just right. Dear friend, this is the truth for immigrant community. Everyone here stands for their own GC, how can we expect others to fight for you. So as and when USCIS hurts different categories, people come here and form a loosely coupled organization.

You can still go to court against the congress, that is what is the freedom of constitution in this country.
Since Obama administration has a open door policy, why don't we take a appointment and discuss this issue ?
We should pursue this with a litigation, PAPPU, how about these lawyers who keep flashing their advertisements up here, can we use their help?
